Who I Am
I’m an IT professional focused on networking, automation, and infrastructure.
This site documents real, hands-on work with Docker, Traefik, Cloudflare Tunnel, Ansible, Git, and other tools as I learn and grow my skills.
Why This Site Exists
I built an at-home Proxmox lab to explore what’s possible in virtualized environments.
I started with Docker and spun up a few fun applications.
Break it. Fix it.
Break it again. Fix it better.
That loop quickly became addictive.
From Manual Work to Automation
Eventually, I spun up an Ansible VM and began experimenting with automation.
While it wasn’t as immediately “fun” as Docker, it was incredibly powerful to:
- push network configurations automatically
- see changes apply instantly
- avoid repeating the same manual work over and over
That’s when things really clicked.
Hosting This Site
At some point, I asked myself:
What if I hosted my own website?
I already had nginx running in Docker, so I decided to figure out how to make it public.
That led me down the path of learning:
- reverse proxies
- Cloudflare Tunnel
- self-hosted infrastructure
- secure exposure to the internet
This site is hosted entirely from my own Proxmox home lab.
What’s Next
I plan to keep learning more about:
- infrastructure
- automation
- Git workflows
- monitoring and reliability
And I’ll be sharing those lessons here in a blog-style
“What I Learned Today” series.
